Three Tips to Make Your Property More Fire-Resistant
Is there anything you can do to fireproof your home and property? Unfortunately, no, but there are many steps you can take to make your property more fire resistant and to reduce damage from fires. This relatively new type of landscaping is called firescaping and focuses on slowing the spread of fire toward a structure by using fire-resistant materials and plants.
Toni helped me to turn my front yard from a weedy patch into a much-admired showcase of waterwise design, approved by the city of Santa Barbara. Apart from her knowledge, what I most appreciated is that she let me choose many of the plants that I coveted, that she ordered them from a high quality supplier so that they bloomed vigorously and returned the second year with abandon, and that her color pallet fitted beautifully with an art installation in progress. The process was harmonious, the price extremely fair and the result much admired by neighbors and visitors.
Toni was a pleasure to collaborate with, professional and easy to work with. She was open to our ideas and had great suggestions on how to maximize our small space and make it look beautiful. Toni was able to recommend plants that were ideal for our yard conditions and that would be resilient in the Southern California weather. She even helped us create a secret fairy garden in a formerly totally unused space. We are now proud to host family parties and we enjoy hanging out in the yard surrounded by the beautiful flowers and greenery when we relax outside.
